Holacracy is about getting things done faster and more effectively. Every person involved not only has a voice, but is called on to participate in full transparency, accountability and capacity towards the goal and vision of the organization.
Programs for Consulting Firms
An organization wishing to offer Holacracy-related services to its clientele must first either become a Licensed Holacracy Consulting Firm, or partner with such a firm on the engagement to receive their guidance and support. This applies to single-member consulting practices as well as larger consulting organizations; for example, a Certified Holacracy Practitioner running a one-person management consulting practice will also need an organizational license to provide Holacracy-related services, or will need to work in partnership with another duly-licensed organization (or with HolacracyOne).
To protect the integrity of the Holacracy brand and practice, HolacracyOne requires prospective licensee organizations to demonstrate their capacity to provide effective Holacracy consulting services before granting the license. This is typically achieved via a joint engagement where HolacracyOne staff support the prospective licensee organization with their first Holacracy-related engagement(s), until all parties are comfortable that the licensee is ready to proceed without HolacracyOne support. Once the license is granted, the licensee is free to directly provide Holacracy-related services via its own in-house Certified Holacracy Practitioners or via subcontracted CHP’s.
As a benefit and a requirement of the license, the licensee doubly-links with HolacracyOne’s License Program Circle, which governs the organizational licensing program and provides guidance and support for licensees.
