Step I – Attend an Intro Workshop

The first step towards deeper participation in the Holacracy movement is to get the full introduction to the practice at one of HolacracyOne’s 2-day experiential workshops. This workshop is a stand-alone introductory training as well as a pre-requisite for the deeper Facilitator Training and further next-steps; it does not itself convey any particular certification or license grants.

Step II – Become a Certified Holacracy Practitioner™

An individual can become a Certified Holacracy Practitioner™ after successfully completing the 5-day Holacracy™ Practitioner Certification Training course. In addition to the credential, Certified Holacracy Practitioners gain several benefits:

• They can advertise their credential using appropriate HolacracyOne-supplied logos and trademarks.
• They are listed in HolacracyOne’s online directory of Certified Holacracy Practitioners within the Holacracy™ Community of Practice, along with their company name and contact info (if desired).
• They gain the right to provide Holacracy™ consulting services as long as they do so with the support and guidance of a Licensed Consulting Firm, or, when appropriate, with the direct assistance of HolacracyOne. (After a practitioner gains sufficient Holacracy™ consulting experience and skill this way, they may then seek to have their consulting practice become a Licensed Consulting Firm.)

To maintain the credential and continue participating in the program, Certified Holacracy Practitioners must remain actively involved with Holacracy™ (participating regularly in the Holacracy™ Community of Practice will meet this requirement).

Step III – Become a Certified Holacracy Instructor™

After completing the Practitioner Certification Training, a Certified Holacracy Practitioner™ can attend a 2-day presenter-training workshop to learn the nuances of communicating Holacracy successfully and to practice delivering a Holacracy presentation or seminar. Upon successful completion of the course and related assessment, participants earn HolacracyOne’s Certified Holacracy Instructor™ credential, and gain the following benefits:

• They are granted a license to use HolacracyOne’s PowerPoint files, handouts, supporting materials, trademarks, and marketing materials for putting on short Holacracy™ presentations (the materials provided scale for 60 minute presentations up through 6-hour mini-workshops).
• They may post their public events to HolacracyOne’s website, so they will show up on the list of upcoming Holacracy™ events at www.holacracy.org.
• HolacracyOne will list their events in regular posts to HolacracyOne’s mailing list highlighting upcoming Holacracy™ events.

To maintain the credential and continue participating in the program, a Certified Holacracy Instructor™ must keep their CHP certification active and abide by the policies of the Certified Instructor Program.
